I have been with men all my life but have never really been able to get turned on by them. I have kissed two women and have quite enjoyed it but do not feel like i am a lesbian. I wanted to know if there was a possiblilty that i could be a lesbian or if i just dont enjoy sex.
Please check out some of our earlier answers about sexuality for reassurance- but this is a totally normal feeling that lots of women have. The truth is you could be a lesbian if you only find women attractive- or perhaps you haven't met a man who really pushes the right buttons yet. Either way it isn't a big deal.
Being a lesbian can be a huge thing to admit to yourself but it really isn't a big deal in society today. However we put far too much pressure on ourselves to conform to a label. Why do you need to define what you are? As long as you're not hurting anyone then just do whatever feels natural and makes you happy- whether that is with a man or a woman. That's the only way you will discover what really turns you on.
O my god what is it with women today! We get so many emails about this subject- just chill out and stop trying to label yourself.
If you fancy a woman one minute and a man the next- who cares? It's no one elses business but your own so just do whatever makes you happy.
Perhaps it is just that you haven't learnt to enjoy sex with a man yet or maybe that you get turned on by kissing a woman because it feels naughty. Or maybe you are genuinely more attracted to women as a whole. The only way to find out is to follow your instincts and go with the moment until you find out what really makes you happy. Until then- just enjoy the ride!
