Cancer Research UK is offering bride and grooms-to-be a unique way to create maximum impact on their special day by helping to beat cancer.
Couples planning to tie the knot can add an extra special touch to the celebrations by setting up a wedding list with a difference or choosing the charity’s inspirational wedding favours for their big day.
The alternative to a toaster…
At giveincelebration.org couples can create a personalised web page for their wedding through which friends and family can donate to Cancer Research UK. The service can be used in addition to or instead of a more traditional gift list.
Creating a page is quick and simple to do and can be personalised with a selection of images and page colours to fit with the theme of the wedding. The future Mr and Mrs can also upload photos and include a message for guests to see as they click onto the site.
Details are then sent on for guests to donate online, by cheque or over the telephone. For guests who may not be online, the couple can download or order donation slips to put into invitations.
Couples will be sent regular updates on who has donated, and all donors will receive a ‘thank you’ from Cancer Research UK.
