Thailand's Queen Sirikit has returned home from hospital.
The 75-year-old monarch - who was admitted to Bangkok's Chulalongkorn Hospital suffering from bronchitis and flu on March 9 - arrived back at her Bangkok residence Chitrlada Palace on Sunday afternoon (23.03.08), after doctors said they were pleased with her recovery.
The queen, the wife of reigning monarch King Bhumibol Adulyadej, was taken to hospital after complaining of a fever and a bad cough, with initial tests confirming she was suffering from the lung condition and a severe cold.
Medics say the royal's recovery has been impressive and she now only has a mild cough.
However, doctors have advised the queen to refrain from work until she is fully fit.
In 2006, the queen had surgery for cataracts and other eye problems, forcing her to hold back from public duties for several months.
The Thai Royal Family have been beset with health problems in recent times.
