Thailand's Queen Sirikit has met with the wife of the German President.
Sirikit was treated to a high tea with Eva Luise Koehler at Berlin's Bellevue Palace, the German Head of State's official residence.
The two women are both very active in charity work.
Eva is the patron of the German UNICEF committee, while Queen Sirikit recently launched an initiative to rid her country of poverty, the Foundation for the Supplementary Occupation and Related Techniques.
The monarch arrived in Germany on Monday (16.07.07) for a series of private and official engagements.
Today (18.07.07), she is set to be the official guest at a private dinner party hosted by the state premier, Edmund Stoiber.
She is also set to visit many exhibitions and cultural attractions before flying back to Bangkok on Saturday (21.07.07).
