Britian's Prince Philip's nephew has written a tell-all book about the royal family.
Count Alexander von Schonburg, who is married to the prince's great-niece Princess Irina of Hesse, has written the tome - entitled 'Everything About The Royals' - which includes snippets such as what Queen Elizabeth carries in her handbag.
The books also details the reason why Prince Charles does not like his toast to be cut into triangles, and reveals Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, was once rebuked by the Queen Mother when she put her elbows on the dinner table.
The tome states that when Camilla made the gaffe the Queen Mother asked her: "Are you not well? Poor you."
Are you not well? Poor you.
However, Alexander insists his work is highbrow and has refuted claims it is merely based on tittle-tattle.
He told Britain's The Daily Mail newspaper: "It is an intellectual book about kingship - covering 40,000 years from the kings of Babylon to the fall of the Habsburg empire - not a book of gossip."
Despite Alexander's declaration, the book includes the claim by TV presenter Jeremy Paxman that Prince Charles insists his staff prepare him seven eggs boiled to different consistencies every morning - a story dismissed by Clarence House as a myth.
