The younger brother of Britain's Princess Diana has split from his second wife.
Earl Charles Spencer reportedly walked out on his wife Caroline, 39, after a "string of rows".
The nursery school teacher is said to be "devastated" by the marriage split, especially as the cou
ple had been married for less than five years.
A source told Britain's Evening Standard newspaper: "Caroline is heartbroken. She was shattered by his decision to up and leave. And let's not forget they have two young children."
Over the weekend, Caroline remained at the couple's £4.5 million London house with their children Edmund, two, and four-month-old Lara.
It has not been confirmed whether the earl has moved to his Althorp estate, in Northamptonshire.
