Noel Gallagher’s attacker must wait another month for court fate

The man who attacked Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher onstage in Canada last month will have to wait to discover his fate - after his case was put back until next month.

Gallagher was left with three broken ribs after 47-year-old Daniel Sullivan stormed the stage at the Virgin Festival in Toronto on 7 September and pushed him onto monitor speakers.

The rocker was hospitalised after the incident and his injuries forced the band to prematurely end their North American tour.

Sullivan was charged with assault, and ordered to appear in court in Toronto on Friday.

At Friday's hearing, the case was adjourned until 25 November.
