Rapper GUCCI MANE has been arrested in Miami, Florida, on an outstanding assault warrant issued in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mane, real name RADRIC DAVIS, was taken into police custody on Friday (15JUL05) and is expected to be moved to Atlanta by the end of this week (ends24JUL05).
The aggravated assault warrant stems from an altercation earlier this month (JUL05) involving a promoter and employees at Mane's record label Big Cat Records. The promoter was injured and later filed a complaint with police.
The star's lawyer DENNIS SCHEIB insists Mane wasn't involved in the fight, adding that the 25-year-old rapper would have turned himself over to authorities if he and his client had been notified of the warrant.
On the same day his debut album TRAP HOUSE was released in May (05), Mane posted a $100,000 bond on a murder charge in the 10 May (05) shooting death of HENRY CLARK.
Scheib says that case has been put on hold until October (05), pending a new investigation by authorities.
