GUCCI MANE: 'I'M NOT A MURDERER'
Troubled rapper GUCCI MANE insists he has no fear he'll be cleared of the murder charges currently hanging over him because he's innocent.
The rap star, real name RADRIC DAVIS, turned himself in to the Dekalb County Police in Georgia earlier this month (MAY05) when he was named as a suspect in the shooting of HENRY CLARK.
Davis was released from jail last week (ends27MAY05) after posting bail at $100,000 (£52,600), and maintains he's not guilty.
His attorney claims he was initially a victim when five men burst into his girlfriend's home with guns, threatened his client's life and allegedly pistol-whipped his partner.
Davis admits he was shocked when he learned he was a wanted man in Georgia: "I was upset, I was scared a little bit, but I had to do what I had to do. You gotta be a man about it.
"I'm not a bad person. I have remorse for everything that happened. I feel sorry for the (person) who died. All my fans I let down, I want them to stay positive. I just want to let them know I'm not a violent person. Everything I try to do is positive."
The rapper is due in court on 5 July (05) when he'll face murder charges.
