Released - September 8th

Sigur Rós follow the Top 5 success of their new album Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly), with the release of the single ‘Inní mér syngur vitleysingur’.

One of the most anthemic and upbeat songs Sigur Rós have ever written, replete with stomping brass accompaniment and hooks big enough to land a whale, NME described it as hitching “The Beatles’ ‘Lady Madonna’ piano to Arcade Fire’s beat”. Even more gloriously, it translates into English as ‘Within me a lunatic sings’.

A previously announced special deluxe edition of the album will also be released in September solely on the bands website.

The content of this has been dictated by the feedback from fans through the band’s website and includes an exclusive film shot by Nick Abrahams and a 196-page hardcover cloth-bound book of photographs shot by Eva Vermandel.

These projects cover the latter stages of the recording process in London and New York, making the video for ‘Gobbledigook’, rehearsals in Iceland and being on the road through Mexico, America, the UK and Iceland.

Neither are straight-forward documentary projects but intended as more impressionistic “visual poems” capturing the mood and emotions that inspired the creation and performance of Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust.

Additionally, each edition special edition will not only be individually numbered but include a unique strip of 16mm film from the ‘Gobbledigook’ video shoot, specially mounted within the front cover of the book.
