Chrysler Crossfire SRT6

A high performance version of the Chrylser crossfire - the SRT6 - will arrive in th UK in April featuring a 3.2 litre V6 engine

The hand-built 330 bhp (246kW) engine includes a helical supercharger and produces 310 lb.ft of torque. The new SRT-6 reaches an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph and 0-62 mph in 5.3 seconds.

To handle the extra power, the Crossfire SRT-6 has performance-tuned ride and handling and an upgraded five-speed automatic transmission. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) has also been tuned for more spirited driving while uprated performance brakes allow the SRT-6 to go from 60 to 0 mph in just 115 feet (35 metres).

Unique, lighter 15 spoke SRT alloy wheels (18 inch front and 19 inch rear) complete the SRT package, along with race-inspired leather heated seats and SRT-6 badging. A fixed spoiler replaces the retractable spoiler found on the standard vehicle.

"The Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 is an absolutely stunning looking car with performance to match, while the new price of the standard Crossfire will make the range even more desirable," said Simon Elliott, Managing Director for the Chrysler Group in the UK. "We sold out of Crossfire coupe and roadster in 2004, and residual values have held up very well since the New Year. Reducing the price of the standard vehicle by around £2000 will make the Crossfire even better value in a hotly contested market."

In the UK, Chrysler Crossfire customers will benefit from a peace-of-mind package which includes a comprehensive warranty and European roadside assistance package for three years/60,000 plus seven years’ unlimited mileage anti-corrosion guarantee.
