Rihanna and Gucci will light the UNICEF snowflake at New York City's Grand Army Plaza tonight.
The singing sensation is to join Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini to kick off the festivities on Fifth Avenue.
Rihanna is also the global representative for the 2008 Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF, also launching today.
Ne-yo will perform live at the event, before Rihanna and Frida switch on the light, which will signify the start of the gift-giving season.
The unique looking UNICEF snowflake is 23 feet in diameter, 28 feet in height and weighs an incredible 3,300 pounds, so it's safe to say that it is the largest outdoor chandelier of its kind!
