The new Duchess of Cornwall and wife of the Prince of Wales looked elegant in her choices of outfits for the big day on Saturday.
For the civil ceremony she wore a flattering oyster silk coat and chiffon dress made by Robinson Valentine and cream beige shoes designed by Linda Bennett.
She topped this off with a wide brim cream hat designed by top milliner Philip Tracey.
She accessorised the outfit with a cream clutch by East - West and a fantastic Fleur de Lys brooch. The brooch belonged to Camilla’s great grandmother Alice Keppel by King Edward V11 who was Prince Charles great grandmother. Alice Keppel was his mistress and Charles was reported to have paid £15,000 to buy the brooch.
For the civil ceremony she wore fantastic porcelain blue embroidered silk dress and coat again by Robinson Valentine.
The headdress by Philip Treacy was gold leaf feathers with Swarovski crystals tips. Both the Prince of Wales and Camilla looked every inch the happy couple they celebrated their marriage after a controversial relationship which has lasted nearly three decades.
Diana’s wedding dress designer Elizabeth Emmanuel gave her opinion of Camilla’s outfits yesterday.
Emmanuel designed the fairy tale outfit for the late Princess and reminisces about the event.Overall she praised the choice of outfits and the designs chosen for Camilla.
She told the Sunday Mirror: The woman often mocked for her looks and fashion sense proved she could turn on the style and elegance with the best of them.”
She did comment on Camilla’s chunky legs saying:” Camilla has quite chunky legs so the hemline was particularly important. The scalloped detail around the bottom drew attention away from her calves.”
She went on to say that Camilla was probably wearing power knickers to smooth her figure and hide any lumps or bumps.
While Camilla only carried a small clutch, Emanuel said that she carried smelling salts, Lucozade tablets, needle and thread for Diana in case of emergencies on the big day.
