Victoria Beckham's new 'pop' do is the hottest thing in hairdressing at the moment but how do you know if you can work the look too?

Denise Mcadam is the UK's first celebrity session stylist and creator of her own range of professional haircare, at Tesco. She says:"You'll need well-defined cheekbones and a low forehead to carry this look off."

"It's also worth talking to your hairdresser to ensure that your hair doesn't grow into licks or kinks as short hair doesn't have the weight to flatten these features down," she adds, "On a positive, if your eyes are one of your favourite features, this is the perfect style for showcasing them."

"Do think about this style carefully. A drastic cut can seem tempting and is very rewarding for the first few weeks as people can't fail to notice your new look, but bear in mind that a style like this will take a good year to grow back into even a short bob.

"Of course, if you're cutting back spending on your beauty regime, this look will suit. You only need a tiny amount of shampoo and conditioner and a miniscule amount of serum and wax to style, each day - not to mention the fact that you'll use far less electricity! - A quick blast with a hairdryer is all this style requires."
