John Burton Race became the fifth camp member to leave the jungle when he was evicted by the public on Sunday (25Nov07).
Now less than 72 hours after getting the boot and still in the Australian hotel the man famous for his cooking has revealed some devastating news his estranged wife has attempted to ruin his career.
48 hours after being back in the comfort of his hotel, Burton Race got confusing phone calls, asking him to comment on the closure of his famous restaurant, The Landmark, much to his shock. He was understandably devastated when he learned that, during his life changing experience among the wilderness in the jungle down under, his divorcee Kim Burton Race had sacked his employees and shut down his award winning restaurant.
John is still in shock and is clearly upset as he feels helpless he can not do anything while hes still in Oz, the other side of the world.
John told GMTV that Kim has tried contacting him but hes not interested and at this point doesnt want any contact with her.
20 jobs have been lost thanks to the closure, and the sacked staff are in Johns best interest.
John told The Mail on Sunday, I didn't know the restaurant was closed or that there was a note in the window. The decision wasn't made by me - it's in the hands of the lawyers. I've got nothing more to say.

It wasn't the Mail on Sunday - it was the Daily Mail, and The Times, etc. The restaurant in question was the New Angel not the Landmark
