5 months ago 27th May 09:14

Kate Nash says she is planning a change in sound for her new album.

The 'Foundations' singer is currently recording her second album and says it will have a harder edge than her debut, 'Made of Bricks'.

She told Britain's BBC Radio 1: "I've always really liked punk music. So I think it's something I always wanted to get more into.

"Also, I'm really into the Supremes and Motown. I don't know, I'm excited to get in and see what happens."

Kate is opening this year's Glastonbury festival and admitted she feels nervous at the prospect.

She added: "It's quite scary - I'm opening it or something. I'm going to get something exciting for that."

The festival has been under fire this year over the choice of Jay-Z as a headlining act, but Kate insists that its part of the spirit of the event.
