Hugh Hefner has confirmed his split from Holly Madison.
The magazine mogul had previously denied his relationship with Holly was on the rocks, but after she claimed they were no longer together earlier this week he has finally admitted their romance is over.
He said: "If she's says it's over, it's over. But like I've said before, she is the love of my life, and I expected to spend the rest of my life with her."
The 82-year-old added he found it extremely difficult to come to terms with the end of his relationship with Holly, 28.
He said: "I was road kill a couple of weeks ago."
Hugh had previously admitted his relationship with Holly was in "transition", adding she was desperate to have children but that was not "on the cards" for him.
The Playboy founder has now revealed the pair did try for a baby, but Holly failed to conceive.

Could be at 82 no active sperm? How sad this 82 year old man has to have a group home for twenty year old women. I think Holly must have been his assisted living caretaker.
