Eminem's fan threat

Eminem once pulled a pistol on a fan at the height of his fame.

The rap star - who is set to end his self-imposed retirement this year when he releases new album 'Relapse' - threatened the admirer when he knocked on his door, and admits he struggled to cope with the constant attention at the start of this decade.

He reveals in his new autobiography 'The Way I Am': "The doorbell kept ringing. I was starting to lose it. I was losing my mind. I got up in one kid's face with a pistol. Unloaded, but still.

"My temper was out of control. Thank God I was in enough control not to do something tragic."

Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers - also reveals in the tell-all tome he developed an obsession with guns and would regularly carry a firearm.

He writes: "I went through a phase back then when I was shooting pistols in the air behind the studio, and, you know, pulling guns out, pointing a pistol in somebody's face, not even realising that I could have gone to jail for that s**t."
