Funnyman Ashton Kutcher is contemplating adopting a child with his wife, actress Demi Moore.

The 30-year-old is stepfather to Rumer, 19, Scout, 16, and Tallulah, 14 - Moore's daughters with action star Bruce Willis - and the actor insists he dreams of "someday" expanding their brood with children of his own.

But the Hollywood heartthrob admits he hasn't ruled out adoption, since he has always been drawn to the idea of taking in an orphaned child.

He says, "I have thought about adopting a kid my whole life. When I was eight I had a friend called Terry and one day he told me he was adopted.

"He said his parents told him there was a more special bond between them because they picked him. I thought that was pretty profound and I would be open to the idea".

Meanwhile the Hollywood heartthrob has admitted that he was once a serial womaniser who bedded as many women as possible - until he met his wife DEMI MOORE.

Kutcher, 30, quickly became a household name after landing a role on hit TV series That '70s Show - and the actor admits he used his fame to help him seduce scores of fans.

But it wasn't until he met Moore, 45, five years ago that he contemplated swapping one-night stands for a long-term relationship.

He says, "Social conditioning raises guy to get laid. I think I was very much like this myself. I had no desire to be in a relationship whatsoever. I had sworn myself off relationships before I met Demi.

"At the time we met I was in New York partying and I was hosting Saturday Night Live and I was saying to myself, 'I am going to party, I'm going to sleep with this girl and that girl.' "Then I met my wife. As soon as you make that decision not to have a relationship, you will find one".

Kutcher and Moore wed in a private ceremony at their Beverly Hills home in 2005.
