This summer’s most thrilling action adventure, Fool’s Gold, launches spectacularly on Blu-ray and DVD from 1st September, courtesy of Warner Home Video.

Starring Matthew McConaughey (Sahara, Failure to Launch) and Kate Hudson (You, Me & Dupree, Almost Famous), Fool’s Gold is a tale of deep sea treasure hunting, double crossing villains and aquatic hi-jinx set against the idyllic backdrop of the Caribbean.

Ben ‘Finn’ Finnegan (McConaughey) is a good natured surf-bum turned treasure hunter, obsessed with finding the legendary 18th Century Queen’s Dowry – 40 chests of exotic Spanish treasure, lost at sea in 1715. When his estranged wife, Tess (Kate Hudson) starts work aboard a mega-yacht owned by super rich, Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland), Finn sees an opportunity to charm the billionaire and acquire the backing to fulfil his crazy ambitions of landing the booty.

Against her better judgment, the search rekindles Tess’ love of discovery and her man, but they are not the only ones in pursuit of the lost treasure. Finn’s mentor turned nemesis, Moe Fitch (Ray Winstone) has also set out to claim the prize and he will stop at nothing to beat them to it. As the pace builds up and the all out hunt intensifies, Finn finds himself increasingly in danger, embroiled in the trickiest of situations and increasingly reliant on Tess to bail him out. This rollercoaster of thrills and spills sees the couple’s relationship tested to the depths of the ocean and back again.

Reuniting the beautiful, Kate Hudson and the hilarious, Matthew McConaughey for the first time since How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Fool’s Gold is the must-see action adventure DVD release of the Summer.
