The latest Bollywood rumour is that Abhishek Bachchan will play the part of Ravan and not Ram in Mani Rathnam’s upcoming film of the same name.
Southern star Vikram will play Ram in the film, which starts shooting next week in South India and Sri Lanka
Sources say that Mani Rathnam has also roped in Bhojpuri film star Ravi Kissen to play the character of Ravan’s brother Kumbhakaran, who is famous in mythology as the person who slept for six months at a stretch. The role of Vibhishan, another brother of Ravan, will be played by Ajay Ghei, who had impressed with his performance in Maqbool.
