A jewel thief is desperate for Steven Spielberg to make a film about his life of crime so he can repay all the people he has stolen from.
Moshe Tsitsaushivili begged a reporter to get in touch with the movie mogul and give him the lead role in his proposed biopic.
The criminal made the plea while locked up at Westchester County Jail, America where he faces charges for several heists, including one of the biggest diamond robberies in Australian history, and another $1.5 million theft in the state of New South Wales.
He said: "My life is over, man. My life is over, finished, done. Contact Steven Spielberg. He would be my ticket out of here, so I can make a lot of money and never touch diamonds again."
