A Japanese institute has created a robot that can mimic catwalk models.
Researchers at an institute in Kobe, Japan have developed the model - made from a metal frame covered with polyethylene sheets to give it a human-like look.
The robot, which stands 5ft 6in tall can recreate human-like postures by simultaneous control of 16 joints in its limbs, neck, waist and other body parts.
The robot's joints are made to look slim to give it a feminine touch and its body frame is made of aluminium to make it lighter. The robot is controlled by mobile phone.
