Burger burglar

2 months ago 26th Jul 13:15

A man convicted of holding up a McDonalds is bidding to record a jingle for the burger giant.

Tamien Bain held a branch of the fast food chain up in 1994, when he was 14. After a 12 year stint in prison for his crime he's now managed to make his way to the final of the 'Big Mac Chant' competition. Bain is one of five finalists who have created their own jingle for McDonalds.

His effort has been well received and he is hot favourite to win the competition. Bain, 29, says he was upfront and honest about his past with competition judges. The winner of the 'Big Mac Chant' competition gets a trip to Los Angeles and their song featured in a US McDonald's advert.
